The door is that thin line
drawn on the industrial carpet between managers and underlings, full-time and
part-time, or front office and back.
Naturally, there are
exceptions to be found, such as in a company that´s experiencing electric
growth or in one where no one has a door.
If you do have a door,
chances are it means that you also have an office, and just as you would hate
for someone to swoop into your office when your door was closed, you should ask
permission to enter someone´s cube.
Since the door to the cube is
completely invisible to the naked eye, make a show of knocking on the cube wall
and say something cute, like
“knock, knock” or
“mind if I come in?”
